Enfinity Management has completed four Spanish solar plants, the company’s first on land. The plants will produce nearly 6.5 MW, and are situated in Southern Spain: Villarobledo and Peñas de San Pedro (Albacete), El Robledo (Ciudad Real) and Alcolea del Río (Sevilla).

Canadian wind turbine manufacturer AAER has signed a supply deal for 61 1.65 MW wind turbines to be delivered to Mont Louis Wind, represented by NPI Wind Power GP II. and Northland Power Wind GP II, for its 100 MW wind farm project in Saint-Maxime-du-Mont-Louis, Canada.

The third quarter of 2008 saw US venture capital investments in cleantech hit a record $1.6bn, up 55 per cent from the previous quarter, according to an Ernst & Young analysis based on data from Dow Jones VentureSource.

Austrian technology venture capital firm Gamma Capital Partners has hired cleantech expert and entrepreneur Jürgen Wahl. Wahl is currently the CEO of start-up consultancy Wahl & Partner.
