Forum Overview

With over 60 LPs and 60 GPs in attendance, NewNet’s second annual Clean Energy LP-GP Forum was a major success. With interest in the year's Forum at an all-time high, all spaces were taken up by delegates including representatives from some of the clean energy investor community’s leading organisations.

The full-day, invitation-only Forum addressed the unique relationship between institutional investors and private equity investors focused on the renewable energy and clean technology space, looking at the main challenges and opportunities facing investors.

With speakers including Alan Salzman, CEO of US technology investor VantagePoint Venture Partners and former head of BP Alternative Energy, Vivienne Cox, sharing their expertise and outlook on the sector, knowledge-sharing and debate was the order of the day. Panels and presentations covering the many facets of alternative energy and technology investment were also accompanied by expert opinion and advice from leading institutional investors and funds of funds.

With delegates taking advantage of the stunning surroundings of One Whitehall Place to network and meet with their peers, the evening drinks reception also offered delegates the chance to continue some of the conversations developed throughout the day.

Interviews, presentations and video content from the Forum will be added to the NewNet Site on an ongoing basis.

Forthcoming events

Our next event, the Wind Energy Investor Forum will be taking place in London on 9 June 2010 with 150 industry executives, comprising senior representatives from the US, Asia, and Europe.
