European business leaders pledge to tap into European offshore wind resourcesp

European business leaders are urging national governments and the EU to tap into offshore wind power, currently Europe's greatest energy source. Offshore wind power has the potential to power Europe seven times over, and offshore wind projects already in various stages of planning would account for ten per cent of Europe's electricity demand, according to the European Wind Energy Association.
