Mary Rosenthal, executive director of non-profit trade association Algal Biomass Organization (ABO) has appeared in front of the US Congress to testify on the benefits of algal biofuels. Rosenthal argued for the commercial scalability and range of fuels, including ethanol, biodiesel and biojet that can be derived from algae, and outlined steps that Congress could take to ensure parity for the algae with other next generation feedstocks.
