Ormat Technologies has completed of phase two construction at the Olkaria III geothermal power plant in Kenya. Ormat Technologies financed the construction of both phases along with the drilling of the wells by investing approximately $150m into the project from its own internal sources.

However, more efforts is needed to meet the social needs such as employment, education, health, water and women group programme. It is a worder why local people are not employed in competitive skill labour
