The Canadaian Government is to invest over $70m in an ethanol production plant belonging to Canadian energy provider Husky Energy, and approximately $5.4m over the next seven years in the Canadian production wing of New York biodiesel firm Methes Energies International. The funding will be used to develop the Canadian renewable fuel sectors and stimulate job creation and the local economy at the site of the plants, Lloydminster, Sasketchewan, and Mississauga, Ontario.
