Cereplast develops algae-to-bioplastics technology

Biofuel technology company Cereplast has announced the development of a new technology that can transform algae into bioplastics. The California sustainable plastics developer says that it intends to launch a new range of algae-based resins that could replace 50 per cent or more of the petroleum content used in traditional plastic resins.

    Very informative!!

    In recent times, the world is becoming cognizant about the hazardous effects of plastic bags on the environment.
    Also PLA has been used to line the inside of Paper Cups in place of the oil based lining more commonly used, create Plastic ( bioplastics ) Cups, Cutlery, Carrier Bags, Food Packaging and even Nappies.
