Europe’s highest court has ruled in favour of taxing all airlines despite strong objections from the US, today’s Financial Times said.
Earlier this week, NewNet reported that Secretary of State Hilary Clinton had joined calls against imposing the measure on US airlines.
The European Court of Justice has, however, ruled that imposing carbon tax on airlines outside of the EU does not infringe the sovereign right of other nations.
