G8 leaders agree to slash greenhouse gas emissions by 2050

The leaders of the world's countries with the largest economies, including the United States and the European Union, have set a target to slash global greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, with the intent to hold global warming at less than 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.

    The G8 has nothing to gain with China, Mexico, and India refusing to abide by the same restraints. The United States will assuredly see jobs leave for those countries not supporting the same restraints.
