GE unveils Net Zero Energy Home concept and launches new smart grid projects

GE has unveiled plans for its Net Zero Energy Home project, which combines GE's most efficient appliances and lighting, the company's new energy management systems, and GE power generating and storing technologies in new home construction. When applied together, the system would enable a homeowner to achieve net zero energy costs by 2015, the company said.

    I would be very interested in volunteering for any beta test opportunities that GE might be considering. We are looking to buy or build a house at the moment; the time is perfect for a build or retrofit situation. Is GE interested in volunteers for this kind of developmental and testing?
