Almost half of US utilities have a smart grid strategy in place but 80 per cent are dissatisfied with the US government's energy policies, according to a study by consultancy Capgemini and energy and metal information provider Platts. The report said 48 per cent of US utilities have a smart grid strategy and 52 per cent have one under development.
