Obama Administration gives $28.5m boost to energy efficiency projects

Back-to-back with its $16.5m raft of biomass R&D funding, the federal US government has committed to invest $28.5m to support energy efficiency projects in 12 states that are expected to lower energy bills, increase investment in energy-saving companies, and boost regional job growth.

  1. So if I get this right, the budget only applies to government sectors and NOT to the general public like small business owners? If it does, who will disburse the rebates? Utility company or the state?
