German electronics and engineering giant Siemens is to provide grid access for the 630MW London Array offshore wind farm, in the UK. Siemens had already been commissioned by farm owners Dong Energy, E.On and Masdar to provide 175 turbines for the project, which stands to be the largest of its kind in the world. The order is worth an estimated €128m.
