Energy efficiency company Viridity Energy has teamed up with US power company Con Edison to work on a project of increasing energy efficiency in New York. Con Edison received $45m in smart grid stimulus funding from the US Department of Energy (DOE), and Viridity will work with the utility, alongside the New York City Economic Development Corporation to optimise power generation using advanced building technologies and solar generation.
