Solar developer and independent power producer mO3 Power has appointed UK-based renewable finance specialist Michael Annis as its new CFO.
Annis has more than 20 years experience in investment banking, together with board level experience in the renewable energy industry.
His experience includes raising corporate, project and structured finance in Europe and Australia for clients such as Schroders, Citibank and Matrix.
Through his consulting business RE-Fin, Annis has worked on energy projects on behalf of European investment banks, fund managers and renewable energy project developers.
The consultancy business recently acted as a placing agent for a solar fund manager to facilitate €700m in bank financing that allowed the manager to buy several operational Spanish solar parks.
It also advised on a €400m transaction with WestLB to finance a 325MW onshore wind park in the Czech Republic, and acted for the European investment bank Bayerische Hypo-und Vereinsbank in respect of a €100m structured basket bond issued by Max Two.
John Moreton, chairman and founder of mO3 Power, said, ‘mO3 Power now brings together the services of twelve highly skilled professionals with a combined experience across relevant industries and disciplines.’
