BTU International, a thermal processing equipment supplier for the alternative energy markets, reported a loss of 33 per cent in first quarter net sales for 2009 at $9.8m, down from $14.7m in the final quarter of 2008. In comparison to the same period of the previous year, it marked a 41 per cent drop from $16.6m.
