US state of Oklahoma commits to 15 per cent renewable energy in new legislation

The US state of Oklahoma has signed a law to expand the use of clean energy and establish a renewable energy standard that targets 15 per cent of electricity to be generated from renewables by 2015.

Arizona’s utility Tucson Electric Power to buy 160MW of renewable energy

Tucson Electric Power (TEP), which provides electricity in the south of the US state of Arizona, has agreed to purchase the output of ten new solar power systems, a landfill gas project and a wind farm that will together generate nearly 160MW of renewable energy.
