Ukraine amends green tariff law to boost renewable energy use

Ukraine has signed in a law entitled "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine ‘On Electrical Power Engineering' to Stimulate Use of Alternative Sources of Ukraine" which calls for the country to stimulate the use of alternative energy sources.

President Obama, Secretary Salazar announce framework for renewable energy development on the US Outer Continental Shelf

US President Barack Obama has announced that the US Department of the Interior has finalised a framework for renewable energy production on the US Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). The framework establishes a programme to grant leases, easements, and rights-of-way for orderly, safe, and environmentally responsible renewable energy development activities, such as the siting and construction of off-shore wind farms, on the OCS.

Energy and environmental engineering company RMT completes construction of 400MW wind farm

Energy and environmental engineering company RMT has completed the engineering and construction of the Fowler Ridge I Wind Farm, a 400MW facility owned by BP Wind Energy and Dominion Resources, Inc. The facility is located in Benton County, about 90 miles northwest of Indianapolis, US.
