German electronics giant Siemens has been contracted to supply wind turbines for a 50MW project in Dinar, west Turkey.
The order comprises of 22 units with a 2.3MW rating, to be provided to Olgu Enerji Uretim, an affiliate of Guris Holding and Morgan Enerji Yatirim Holding.
The contract includes delivery and installation, as well as a five-year service and maintenance agreement.
Construction on the site is expected to commence in the third quarter, with commercial operation scheduled for early 2013.
This will be the third wind project Siemens has worked on in Turkey. At the end of last month, it entered the Thai market with a 200MW turbine order.
