22 Nov 2012

US low carbon utility Viridian Energy has expanded its service to Washington DC and Delaware.

For the past several months, Viridian has conducted a series of pre-launch training and sustainability events in the region to drive interest in its offering.

It offers one service that provides customers with 100 per cent green energy and another exceeding local renewable standards by 20 per cent.

The company now operates in eight states and Washington DC.

Michael Fallquist, founder and CEO of Viridian, said, ‘We are pleased to announce our newest markets as we further our vision to enable significant positive impact on the environment by offering sustainable energy alternatives.

‘Every single day, our customers make the amazing choice to contribute to the health of the environment through the simple act of using renewable energy. Offering sustainable choices that are easy for consumers to make allows our vision to spread organically, with great endurance.’
