Green Plains forms US algae joint venture

US ethanol producer Green Plains Renewable Energy has formed a joint venture to commercialise algae production as part of its efforts to promote next generation biofuels. BioProcess Algae is a joint venture between affiliates of Green Plains, environmental products company CLARCOR, science and engineering business BioProcessH20 and renewable energy development company NTR.
