Cycleenergy Biomass Power, which operates a group of biomass cogeneration plants in Austria, has raised €18m from private and institutional backers in its third round of fundraising. 
Launching a fund five days before the collapse of Lehman Brothers could be seen as ill-timed. For many, it would almost certainly lead to a reversal of plans and an end to fundraising activities.
