Chinese automaker JAC and Hybrid Kinetic to invest $4.4bn in electric vehicle production facility

Chinese vehicle manufacturer Jianghuai Automobile Company (JAC) and China-based electric vehicle company Hybrid Kinetic will invest RMB30bn ($4.4bn) in an electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Hefei city, through a newly-formed agreement.

Spain falls far short of 2010 electric vehicle target

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) in the US has approved an experimental electric vehicle tariff for The Detroit Edison Company that will take effect from today until the end of 2012, making it the first utility in the state to offer specific rates for electric vehicles for residential customers.
