Pulangi River’s $27m hydroelectric plant nears first phase completion in Philippines

The pre-development stage of a $27m hydroelectric project located in the Pulangi River region of Mindanao in the Philippines is nearing completion following the prohibition of fully-privatising nearby hydropower complexes in Bukidnon in March this year, local media has reported.

H2oPE to launch £1m UK community hydropower investment scheme

Next week will see the launch of a £1m community hydro share investment scheme that offers individual investors and businesses a chance to invest in hydro-electric power plants serving local communities in the UK, by project developer, a social enterprise community interest company called H2oPE. Further details of the offer have not yet been disclosed.
