Danish power giant Dong Energy has sold the transmission assets of the 172MW UK-based Gunfleet Sands I and II offshore wind farm to Transmission Capital Partners for £49.5m. 
The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement has begun a public consultation on a draft Environmental Assessment that considers the environmental and socioeconomic impact of issuing renewable energy leases in designated Wind Energy Areas in the Atlantic Ocean. 
Spanish renewables company Acciona Energy and military ship-builders Navantia have signed a cooperation agreement in the field of offshore wind. The companies will combine technological expertise on a series of projects to construct offshore wind farms. 
Swiss electronics company ABB has purchased transformer manufacturer the Transfor Group for an undisclosed amount.
