German wind turbine manufacturer REpower Systems has been contracted by French energy company GDF Suez to supply of 23 turbines for two projects in the Burgundy region of France. 
US cleantech developer Signal Energy has commenced installing ten wind turbines for the 20MW Frisco Wind project located in Hansford County, Texas. 
US company Invenergy Wind has arranged equity financing for its Gratiot County wind development from General Electric Energy Financial Services. 
Swedish wind energy developer Arise Windpower and European cleantech investment firm Platina have purchased project company Jadraas Vinkraft from Ownpower Projects Europe and Bergviks Skog for €336m. 
UK cleantech consultancy Natural Power has been selected to provide engineering services during the resource assessment and project design stages of a proposed 2.1GW wind farm in south-east Wyoming, US. 
Global energy company BP has announced plans to construct a 419MW wind farm located in Kansas, Midwest US. 
Swedish energy company Vattenfall has announced that it will begin construction on its largest onshore wind farm so far later this year. 
Danish wind energy specialist Vestas has received an order for turbines with a combined 36MW capacity from Swedish power developer Eolus Vind.

US developer TradeWind Energy has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Alabama Power for electricity produced from the planned 202MW Chisholm View wind farm in Oklahoma. 
Australian renewable energy company CBD Energy in collaboration with joint venture AusChina has purchased a proposed 100MW wind project in New South Wales, Australia, from the UK’s RES Group. 
US power company Duke Energy has announced plans to build a 202MW wind farm in Texas. 
An eight turbine wind farm in Scotland that will be used to provide financial support for a renewables training scheme has been granted planning permission. 
The city of Austin, Texas, has approved two new wind contracts totalling 291MW and authorised utility Austin Energy to negotiate a third wind contract of an additional 200MW. 
US company Duke Energy has announced it will build, own and operate a 69MW wind farm in central Pennsylvania.
