Spain’s future renewable energy installations may be decided via an auction process going forward after the government recently decided to put a temporary halt to feed-in tariff support. 
The Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade has announced the temporary suspension of feed-in tariff support for new cogeneration, renewable energy or waste-to-energy facilities. 
Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Gamesa has reached an agreement with Gas Natural to sell two wind farms with a combined capacity of 42MW. 
The Spanish subsidiary if European utility RWE Innogy has increased its stake in wind farm operator Explotaciones Eólicas de Aldehuelas, bolstering the company’s exposure to the country.
