Private equity firm First Reserve has made a strategic investment in renewable energy developer Abengoa. 
German engineering giant Siemens has delivered high-voltage direct-current technology to that allowed Red Eléctrica de España to link Mallorca with the Spanish mainland via an electricity highway laid in the Mediterranian, allowing the flow of clean energy. 
Germany-based electronics giant Siemens has been contracted to supply and construct a 50MW concentrated solar power plant in Spain. 
UK private equity firm Bridgepoint has announced it will acquire wind energy assets from listed Spanish construction conglomerate ACS, in a deal which will value the portfolio at €596.5m.
