UK biomass project developer Real Ventures has received permission to build a 49.5MW plant at the Port of Immingham, North East England. 
US biofuel and biomass producer Enviva has been contracted by E.ON to supply 240,000 tonnes of wood pellet per year as part of a multi-year contract. 
International biomass company Enviva has partnered with gas and oil giant ConocoPhilips to create a new company that will bring torrefied biomass fuels to market. 
Brazilian pulp and paper company Suzano Papel e Celulose has committed to invest $1.3bn in the formation of a biomass unit that will market wood pellets in Europe, according to reports. 
FourWinds Capital Management's authorised close-ended investment scheme Phaunos Timber Fund's net asset value per share dropped by $0.11 per share in the interim period between December 2009 and April 2010.The fund's audited net asset values per ordinary share and C share stood at $1.07 as of 31 December 2009, which reduced to $0.96 on 23 April 2010. 
Serbia-based wood pellet producer Forest Enterprises, a wholly owned subsidiary of Phaunos Timber Fund launched by FourWinds Capital Management investment to invest in global timber related assets, has entered into a sales and marketing agreement with US company International Forest Products (IFP).
