The Michigan Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth has awarded a grant reward to Environmental and materials operating company N-Viro International, for the feasibility test of N-Viro Fuel at a Michigan-based utility.
Under the provisions of the grant, the Michigan-based utility will test the feasibility of the biomass fuel N-Viro fuel. The test is scheduled for early 2010 and the permits for the test have already been issued by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.
N-Viro International owns patented technologies to convert various types of waste into beneficial reuse products including the renewable biofuel N-Viro Fuel and N-Viro Soil.
The test will be conducted to determine the feasibility of the company’s fuel and its performance within the boiler and the expected positive impact on emissions. N-Virosaid that it has already executed a letter of intent with the utility outlining the scope of the test, and anticipates a long-term agreement after the test is performed.
Timothy Kasmoch, CEO and president of N-Viro, said, ‘We are delighted by the support from the State of Michigan and we expect to deliver favorable results from the test. Given the successful N-Viro Fuel demonstration at Michigan State University in 2007, we expect this test to be successful as well.’
