6th July 2009
Prometheus Energy, a US renewable energy company, has reportedly closed a $20m funding round led by Dutch firm Kenda Capital and US-based private equity firm Black River Asset Management.
The company will use the funding for technology which turns waste gas into liquid natural gas. Reports suggest that the company began producing LNG plants in Southern California and Utah last year and is scheduled to begin production in Poland in 2010.
Prometheus was bought by Black River Asset Management last September.
