RWE launches new energy efficiency company in Germany

RWE has launched its new energy efficiency company in Dortmund, Germany.

The new company, RWE Effizienz, has been set up to develop energy-efficient solutions for key residential and mobility areas. Hanns-Ferdinand Mueller and Norbert Verweyen have been appointed managing directors.

‘As energy consumption increases world-wide, we want to make use of all energy sources,’ said Juergen Grossmann, chairman of the board at RWE. ‘This is why energy efficiency is the main key to successfully coping with climate change.’

Initially, RWE Effizienz will consist of six business areas, with smart metering making up an important component of the new company’s agenda.
