UK-based waste company New Earth Solutions has acquired an operational in-vessel composting facility, which was formally owned and operated by Bioganix. No financial terms were disclosed.
The Sharpness Dock facility currently processes biodegradable waste on behalf of the municipal and commercial clients. It will continue to carry out normal operations and the treatment of waste and supply compost product will remain in place.
Peter Mills, commercial director of New Earth Solutions, said, ‘We are delighted to have acquired this strategically important facility. Its incorporation within our network of existing and planned facilities will enable New Earth Solutions to accelerate the establishment of a national network of biodegradable waste treatment facilities.’
