FuelCell Energy enters agreement to sell 6.7 million shares of common stock

FuelCell Energy, a US-based fuel cell company, has entered into a definitive agreement to sell 6.7 million shares of its common stock at $3.59 per share in a registered direct offering.
FuelCell Energy said it would use the proceeds for product development, project financing, expansion of manufacturing capacity and general corporate purposes.
A shelf registration statement relating to these securities previously was filed and declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
