Californian company Pohl & Holmes constructs solar PV project

18 September 2009

Pohl & Holmes, a Californian huller and sheller of almonds, has unveiled its plan to construct a 504KW solar photovoltaic project which is set to be up and running in November.

The company chose Cenergy Power to provide the turnkey solar solution, which includes about 2,520 solar modules and is expected to generate around 740,105KWh of power annually.

‘We’ve been looking into cost-effective solar for some time,’ said Bryan Holmes, one of the principals of Pohl & Holmes. ‘When Cenergy Power walked us through the significant cost savings from combining their solar solution with our utility’s generous solar rebate, we were convinced that this was the right time to go solar.’

David Pohl, another key principal of the Huller, added, ‘We pride ourselves in delivering the best quality and service to our customers using superior techniques, so our decision was also made easy by the fact that Cenergy Power implements advanced power quality assessments [to ensure the delivery of optimal clean solar power] to each project they undertake.’
