Power-One and Magnetek terminate supply and distribution agreement

NASDAQ-listed energy efficiency company Power-One has mutually agreed with Magnetek to terminate their supply and distribution agreement.

The agreement provided electronic developer Magnetek with exclusive distribution rights to Power-One commercial photovoltaic solar Aurora products in North America, non-exclusive distribution rights for its residential Aurora products and non-exclusive worldwide distribution rights for its Aurora small wind inverter products.

Power-One will now market its commercial inverter product line in North America through direct sales and other distribution partners, as it does with its residential and small wind inverter products. Power-One currently sells its commercial solar products in Europe and Asia though a mix of direct sales, distributors and original equipment manufacturers.

Power-One designs and manufactures energy-efficient power conversion and power management solutions for alternative and renewable energy routers, data storage and servers, wireless communications, optical networking, medical diagnostics, military, railway controls, semiconductor test equipment, and custom applications. The company has headquarters in Camarillo, California, and operations in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
