Solar company Spire Corporation launches Taiwanese subsidiary

25 September 2009

Spire Corporation, a global solar company, has set up wholly-owned subsidiary, Spire Taiwan to be based in Hsinchu County, Taiwan.

The company has launched the new subsidiary in a bid to capitalise on growing demand for solar energy in the region.

‘Spire Taiwan will provide rapid customer communications and will enhance its growing position within the region,’ said Roger G Little, chairman and CEO of Spire Corporation. ‘It is a headquarters for equipment service operations and will support customers throughout China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, and the Philippines, as well as others in the region. The branch is also staffed with multilingual sales and service engineers, allowing our customers to receive immediate care. Spire will also be establishing a regional spare parts inventory warehouse in Taiwan.’

Little said that the recently established Taiwan PV Standards Committee has made Taiwan an important player in the solar industry, with government incentives set to stimulate the sector.

Spire Corporation is a diversified technology company providing solar energy manufacturing equipment and solar systems across the globe.
