Solar Power appoints Francis Chen to board of directors

Solar Power has hired Francis Chen, former vice chairman with venture capital firm WI Harper Group, to join its board of directors.

Chen has lengthy strategic and financial management experience.

Chen said, ‘I believe Solar Power is positioned for leadership across several key vertical segments of the global photovoltaic solar market.’

‘We welcome Francis to our board of directors,’ said Stephen Kircher, chairman and CEO of Solar Power. ‘The value of the experience he brings as our newest director is significant.’
WI Harper Group manages over $400m in invested capital.

Founded in 2005, Operating from its California headquarters, Solar Power is a vertically integrated solar energy solution provider.
